Claude Lévi-Strauss was a social anthropologist, he studied myths of tribal cultures and examined how stories unconsciously reflect the values, beliefs and myths of a culture. His theory demonstrated a form of binary oppositions, such as: Good vs Evil, Black vs White, Man vs Woman, and Rich vs Poor. His research has been adapted by media theorists to reveal underlying themes and symbolic oppositions in media texts.We have used several binary oppositions in our trailer, we've used 'Good vs Evil', 'Boy vs Girl', 'Protagonist vs Antagonist'. This creates a rivalry in our film and draws the audience in.
