Film Distribution
Film distribution is the process of making a movie available for viewing by an audience. ... When a film is initially produced, a feature film is often shown to audiences in a movie theater. Typically, one film is the featured film.
As our film will be distributed by an independent film company, we will only have a budget of around £500,000, therefore we'll need to ask for funding from other companies. We'll send our film to the BFI as they distribute a range of films and this would suit us as we're doing a hybrid of the genres gangster and thriller. They may also help fund some of the budget for our film as they like to invest around £500,000 per year into new British talents to become a leader of innovation in the film industry, editing and music.
Our film company Diversity Productions will obtain funding from other companies such as the British Film Industry to help distribute our film. We will also take our film to the Cambridge Film Festival as it isn't too far from us, the directors and it'd be a good way to make an audience from the same nation as us be interested in our film. A lot of films with a similar genre are shown at Cambridge Film Festival, therefore it'll be suitable for us to attend it.
