Time Lapse Prototype

In the early stages of planning, we decided that the establishing shot should be a time-lapse of a sunset over a city. This is because:

• It establishes the urban location day .
• Fading into night time symbolises safety descending into danger.
• Low key lighting is conventional of the genre.
•  Creates an ominous atmosphere .
• Literally represents passing of time, showing that the activities of the gang occur on a daily basis, but go unnoticed in the scope of the whole city/

 

Here I have created a prototype time lapse with my DSLR camera which is good practice for our opening establishing shot, obviously this is very rural but in our teaser trailer it will be very urban due to the gangster genre and to set the scene.
