What is genre?
A film genre is a category based on similarities in either the narrative elements or the emotional response to the film.

Our film genre is: Gangster Thriller.

Gangster definition: a member of a gang of violent criminals.
Thriller definition: a novel, play, or film with an exciting plot, typically involving crime or espionage.

By using this hybrid, it'll make our film trailer more creative and attract a larger target audience. The film's topic will be revenge as a woman betrays a male. The mood will be very mysterious and upsetting but also vicious at the same time as a we're willing to create a very stylish film but still keep those gangsters connotations in there at the same time. Our target audience is 18-40. The film is shot in a very formal way as we want to show characters from different perspectives. The budget will be around £500. We don't really create a theme in our film as there are many other conventions created throughout it that are clear in the trailer. The setting is very urban, a lot of the shots will be dark and based in the city, but we may also add a few rural shots for when maybe we want shots of the protagonist on her own.
